Typical dinner

Here's just another typical dinner scene, only this time my dad was taking this picture:

Ping's 2 years old birthday party @ her childcare centre

After picking up my parents, my auntie, Ting Yee and Xuan, we all headed to Ping's childcare centre to celebrate her birthday with her classmates.  Here's our princess at the gate waiting for us:

Around the her classroom, we saw her activities through her time here, from going to NTUC:


to dressing up in Snow White's attire:


We headed to Nex for dinner where Ping was leading Xuan to the library:

But not before riding on the COMs:

Then finally, another birthday cake at the restaurant after we had our dinner:


Ping actually blew out the candles herself!


Because Ping will be starting her 1st day at Xuan's childcare centre next Monday, 1st July 2013, her current childcare centre gave us her last report from them:

What were the kids looking at down the drain???

Ping's field trip photos and annual medical check-up

Ting Yee took this on 25 June 2013 after she picked up Ping from her childcare centre.  These photos were taken on 6 June 2013 where Ping had her first and last field trip with the current childcare centre:


Today, Ting Yee brought Ping to her annual medical check-up.  While waiting for the doctor, Ping was playing with the toys at the waiting area:


Then at night, we met up with my parents to have dinner at City Square Mall, and also for the Xuan and Ping to play some more Lego/Duplo.  Here, Xuan was imitating one of the Lego Chima characters:

Photo-taking with the grandparents

Despite the haze:


we still went to pick up my parents and headed to our photographer to get our family photo taken, along with some special photos with the kids with special props like Ping with a piano matching her dress:

Then Ping took over as the pilot:


and then quickly switching to riding a motorcycle:


Then after lunch, the kids took a short ride on one of the COMs at The Anchorage:


In the afternoon, we went to Whampoa Community Centre and made some wooden airplanes with Xuan while Ping watched her children shows:


and here they were, ready for flight!


The planes didn't get far though, but at least the kids enjoyed this day out!

Very Hazy

Because the air was very bad in Singapore due to the haze brought on by Indonesia, the whole family had to wear masks when we go outside:


But after Xuan's abacus class, the kids stayed indoors watching children shows:


and drawing G.I. Joe:


We also discovered that Xuan's form teacher gave him this as a birthday present:


At night, while Xuan was bathing, Ping was singing the ABC Song:


and playing with Barney and Gingerbeard Man:

Swaying to the music

Before Ting Yee brought them to school, the kids were swaying together (for a while) when they were watching some children show:


After work, we brought the kids and met up with my dad for dinner at City Square Mall:


and ended the night with the kids playing with Lego/Duplo:


Ping can build properly now:

Xuan is 5 years old!

Half a decade had gone by so quickly where the days seemed so long.  My son is now 5 years old!  We started the day by me bringing him to the explorerKid at Downtown East, where we encountered a bunch of kids from an outing by another childcare centre.  Nevertheless, Xuan had fun with those plastic toy balls:

and just running around the obstacles:


Then we went to the airport to pick up my dad who arrived from Hong Kong just to attend his grandchildren's birthday parties.  We picked up the cake, went back home to pick up Ting Yee and headed to Xuan's childcare centre where the kids there wee all hyped-up!


mainly because of the cake!


After Xuan blew the candles:


he gave out presents accordingly starting from the friend he liked most to the least!


Then Ting Yee had the kids play the game Charade:


Back home, Xuan drew what looked like Darth Vadar, and another Jedi:


and posed happily for the camera with all his birthday presents!
